Center for Preparatory Studies in Music

The Lawrence Eisman Center for Preparatory Studies in Music (CPSM) offers a complete program of instruction for young musicians, ages 3 through 18, who wish to develop performance skills and an understanding of music theory and literature. We welcome students of all levels. All incoming students meet with department coordinators and are placed in the program according to their needs. CPSM is a comprehensive music school, offering a wide variety of programs. Course offerings include: private instruction for all orchestral and band instruments, as well as piano, voice, guitar, and composition; musicianship; orchestra; jazz ensemble; chamber music; chorus; and Suzuki piano, violin, and cello classes.
