Funworks For Kids

Funworks for Kids started in 1986 as a "Mommy and Me" program and has continued quietly and successfully through referrals and word-of-mouth with our own following on the Upper East Side. In 2000, we exclusively started a program for 2's and it has been running successfully for fifteen years. People refer to Funworks as the "best kept secret on the Upper East Side." The "Marys" have a local reputation for being warm and welcoming. They are caring and passionate about teaching. We are now enrolling many second and third siblings of our local families. The Funworks program develops self-confidence, social awareness, and motor skills through creative and cognitive activities. With active encouragement and reassurance, the children engage in activities that promote large and small muscle development, utilize instrument and song which encourage sensitivity to rhythm and song, and develop and artistic sense through the use of varying art materials.
