About Battery Park City Parks Conservancy

Battery Park City extends for over a mile along the Hudson River, from Chambers Street South to the Battery in Lower Manhattan. Rockefeller Park contains BPC Parks’ larger lawns, as well as a large playground, plantings and gardens and several public art pieces, and a pavilion. Restrooms are located at the northwest corner of the Solaire Building, across the street from the Parkhouse. The Parkhouse loans games and equipment every day from May through October, as well as providing assistance and information. Permanent ping pong and billiards tables are available, as well as basketball and handball courts and swings. The Lily Pond provides a restful, natural spot that is popular with migratory birds (please don’t feed the ducks or fish). Rockefeller Park also hosts the Children’s Garden where participating children can grow their own vegetables and flowers. Note to visitors: the lawns of Rockefeller Park are Dog-Free.
