About Washington Soccer Club

The Washington Soccer Club (WSC) was founded in 1990. Since then, it has had travel teams play in and win all divisions of National Capitol Soccer League (NCSL). WSC has sent 6 players from those teams to MLS and numerous more to Division I soccer programs. The Club's first 1st Division was the Washington Diplomats who won the Virginia State Cup, won the NCSL 1st Division five times in a row over one three year stretch, and placed numerous players on the Virginia and Maryland State Teams year-after-year until they went to college. WSC girls teams have played in WAGSL since 2000. Three years ago, one of our girls teams, the DC Blast, took a well-publicized trip to South Africa to introduce girls there to soccer and to work on increasing AIDS awareness among young South African girls. WSC also has boys and girls teams that participate in the Old Dominion Soccer League.
